2008 #8 - tablet talk

typing into the n800 trying to watch a film.

easy - almost missed the film quota, hence the multitasking. took some photos on a very clear day.

hard - song for feb is going great!

some time later...

I gave up on that. Whilst it is entirely possible to write on an N800, it's pretty hard to concentrate on something else at the same time.

more hard stuff - work goals seem to be going swimmingly (unlike my swimming). A few reasonably easy to fill gaps should give me the competency I need to secure a slight raise, and if I have any bottle to do the things i've talked about, that should then be about as far as i'll go in this job.

Exercise is going worse, as previously hinted. Swimming didn't happen last week, still due to the cold. I am significantly better now and if I don't go tomorrow night there really won't be any excuse. There also appears to be just about enough daylight between 5pm and 6pm now to give me a window to cycle in the week.

I've done a bit of work on the budgeting. What i'm learning is that the only hard part about working out spending habits is figuring out what was done with cashpoint cash. The rest is all there in black and white, despite the fact that HSBC make it as difficult as possible to scrape all but the most recent data into an easily analysed format.

February is starting to look over long before it actually is, despite the fact that this is one of only two longest February's since the turn of the century. I'm dreading March - too many decisions need to be made. I wonder if i'll make it to to 2008 #52?

That almost sounded suicidal. For the record i'm not the suicidal type. I could find things to live for in practically any situation. I've long liked the idea of being the sole survivor of a nuclear holocaust. Rational people have the annoying habit of pointing out all the problems with that scenario...
